Take up the challenge of an Amazon Heart Adventure and develop lifelong friendships with other breast cancer survivors from across the globe. Celebrate life and change the world through advocacy, fundraising and local community projects.
Our adventures provide breast cancer survivors with a life changing experience, while creating wider social impact in local communities. For the women taking part, our events are an amazing opportunity to share their experiences with other survivors and further their own journey of emotional and psychological healing after breast cancer. Each event also has a unique social impact, either through direct community service as part of the event, or raising funds for community projects. Read about our social impact programs here.
Most importantly, they are about coming together, celebrating living life fully and having a fantastic time!

New Zealand’s stunning wilderness provided the perfect setting for the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. In April 2008 it will play host to another epic quest as a group of breast cancer survivors challenge themselves on a one week trek by foot and cycle across the highlands. Each step will be a celebration of their journey through breast cancer, as well as a powerful inspiration to the thousands of other women diagnosed each year.

In 2004 Amazon Heart launched its adventure programs with an inaugral motorcycle adventure, Changing Gears. In 2008 we'll offer Amazon Heart Thunder rides up the West Coast of California and up the East Coast of Australia, as well as a weekend ride out through the Cotswolds of the United Kingdom.

This December an daring group of breast cancer survivors will travel to Madurai, in Tamil Nadu, South India to spend one week building an orphanage for tsunami and AIDS orphans. Each member of our team will pay their own way to India, and raise funds for the construction project as well as to support local micro-finance programs for poor rural women and breast cancer projects.
