I come from Christchurch which is in the South Island of New Zealand.

I have a husband (Chaz) and 4 children plus 4 grandchildren yes life is full and to be lived - that is why i have put my name down to do this run  on a Harley.  It has been years since i rode my Honda CB100 to school so i will be undertaking some training leading up to May!

My occupation is "ice-cream vendor" and my site is right on the Beach at New Brighton and i love my job.  Of course i am busy when everyone else is relaxing and having fun but i do get some time to myself in winter. 

I have been a member of Abreast of Life Dragonboating team here for almost 9 years and enjoy participating in practices on our local Avon River - i have been to Canada in 2005 and Calouandra, Australia in 2007 these two regattas i will hold memories for the rest of my life.

When i have spare time I love a game of tennis at my local club and reading and movies.

Healthwise i am a 10 year survivor with a full mastecomy and reconstruction with chemotherapy in 1997.  In 2003 i developed a sore shoulder and a droopy eye with a dilated pupil and secondary tumours were discovered in various parts of my body and to my pleasure the my oncologist at CHCH Hospital offered me the chance to participate in a drug trial and i am glad i did because it is really helping me with this illness. So l look forward to the future and particularly this ride.
