I am a breast cancer survivor, having been diagnosed at the age of 44, 2 weeks after my mother died of the disease. This experience was not all negative since it made me re-evaluate my life. Some of you may be aware that I rode a motorbike for a number of years. I can no longer regard myself as a biker - in fact I now ride a scooter to work - but the chance of riding a Harley-Davidson from London to Edinburgh in 2005 was too good to miss!! So much so that I took on the role of trustee of Amazon Heart Trust UK.
