I live in Fall River with my husband, Greg. We have two grown children and three wonderful grandchildren. We have enjoyed riding since 1985, in 2001 I began riding on my own and I love it.
I am a Realtor with Jack Conway Real Estate and totally enjoy working with my customers.
I am so thrilled that I was selected to take part in this fantastic journey, for me it will be a ride of a lifetime. I would like to ride in honor of all breast cancer survivors who have fought this battle with sheer courage and determination, and for all women who fought courageously and lost their battle to breast cancer.
Their courage lives on in the hearts and lives of their families and all women touched by breast cancer.
I may be luckier than most, in March 2004, I was diagnosed with early stage breast cancer.
Although it was “no picnic” I know many women face much worse.
Once diagnosed with breast cancer your life is never the same, and while you find a new appreciation of all life’s little pleasures, for me personally the hardest part is learning to live beyond the fear of breast cancer. But, with faith, hope and the support of family and friends I know I will overcome this.
So in support of all women who have faced breast cancer, my goal is to stay involved in keeping breast cancer awareness in the forefront, hoping to someday have prevention of breast cancer and not just early detection so that our Daughters and Granddaughters may never have to fight this battle.
I can’t wait to begin this journey. I am so eager to meet all the wonderful women on the riding team!!!
This will be a Ride of a Lifetime and I am honored to be part of it!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you all for your support,
Donna
