In October last year I had a dream that I had cancer. In the dream was my brothers little boy Ryan telling me I had cancer. Ryan had just past away at the age of five after a severe epileptic fit. The dream was so real I just had to find out and to my horror he was right...I was diagnosed with a lump in my left breast. I had two operations to remove the lump, the lymph glands and the primary scource.Just to top things off I also wrote my car off. My life was turning too hell!

I am currently half way through my chemo therapy, with radio therapy to come. As you all would have experienced this is the point where you start to look for a guiding light. Will there be a light at the end of the tunnel? What's going to happen and where's my life going. On chemo you have good days and terrible days and the terrible days seem to go on for ever.

I was determined to get through this and I was looking for something to guide me.

My Husband came home with a bike magazine with an article on these women who had ridden on Harleys in America. The ride was to raise money and the awareness of breast cancer.

Yes!... this was what I was looking for.....I just had to do it. As it turned out there was a ride up the east coast of Aust and after quickly sending in my application I was part of this fabulous event

I'm 44 years old and have a daughter 13 years old. I usually help my Husband run our Business but now I spend all my time just getting better.

I have been involved with bikes for years and I have ridden the wheels off my Yamaha vstar 1100. We are members of the Ulysses’ Club, the Allies motor cycle club and Women on Wheels.

All I want to do now is to get over this hurdle, help others in this predicament and live my life to the max.Come on October, I just can’t wait.
