The UK Leg Gets Ready to Roll!
Meredith and I have been in London for almost a week taking care of all of the last minute details for the kick off of Changing Gears - The Global Run 2005. The excitement and anticipation is almost unbearable at this stage.
Throughout the day, participants will be arriving from all over the UK - by plane, car and motorbike. This morning, we are headed over to Heathrow to pick up Cathy who is arriving from Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA, and Donna who is making the epic journey from Sydney, Australia.
Tonight will be our first group gathering, with some event orientation, introductions and dinner at the very cute pub adjacent to our hotel.
We'll do our best to post daily updates from the ride, so check back for news of our progress and latest adventures.
A huge thank you to all the incredible support everyone has provided to make Changing Gears a reality.
