Amazon Heart Odyssey takes groups of breast cancer survivors to disadvantaged communities around the world for one week construction projects that make a real difference to the lives of the local people, and provide a unique challenge and cultural experience for participants.
This December an intrepid group of breast cancer survivors will travel to Madurai, in Tamil Nadu, South India to spend one week building an orphanage for tsunami and AIDS orphans. Each member of our team will pay their own way to India, and raise funds for the construction project as well as to support local micro-finance programs for poor rural women and breast cancer projects. At the end of the adventure they will also meet with local breast cancer survivors to share their experiences.
Each year Amazon Heart Odyssey heads to different locations around the world.
